Since 1960, CARS volunteers have provided emergency services to the community, funded primarily by donations from the community. Your donations give us the ability to care for those with life-threatening circumstances, and provide vital equipment, facilities, and training opportunities for our volunteers.

CARS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donation is tax deductible. You will receive a letter acknowledging your donation if you share your address with us. If you donate via PayPal, you will receive an email acknowledgement as soon as the payment has processed successfully.

Give online with your credit or debit card. It’s fast, secure, and uses our payment processor, NeonPay. Your receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately following the transaction. Click here to donate!

Gift Planning

You may be looking for a way to make a significant gift to help further our mission. A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust and is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift be made to family, friends or the Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad as part of your estate plan.

What are my options?

A bequest can be made in several ways:

1. You can gift a specific dollar amount or asset
2. You can gift a percentage of your estate
3. You can gift from the balance or residue of your estate
4. You can make a beneficiary designation of certain assets
